In the FY 2019-20, we have arranged 3 Believers Workshops, and in December 2020, we have another. With these 4 workshop teams, we conducted a combined workshop in February 2021 with the goal of Descipling & Transforming by the Word of God. The main theme of this combined workshop was “Transformation into the Word of God”. In a real sense we got a transformative feeling from the participants.
Here is a story from this workshop-
Mr. Sarker, a participant of Combined Workshop.
I was born in a Christian family, even though my father and grandfather were Muslims they accepted Jesus long before I was born. Two years ago, I passed my HSC with a very good score so my family wants me to be a medical doctor. For two consecutive years I took medical entrance tests but did not get a chance to enter any medical college in the country. Due to the pandemic situation, some of my opportunity for studying abroad also stopped. So, I became very discouraged and depressed.
I wrote different articles in social media platforms against God and slowly began to gain popularity as I continue to wisely try to prove that there is no any God. Honestly, I was upset with God. Sometimes when Dad would tell me to pray, I will get angry and behave badly against my father.
I attended the combined workshop conducted by Bible Correspondence School, 6-11 February 2011). One morning we were all asked to have a Silent Prayer. For me this was a joke. I wondered if I could actually find something out of nothing. So, I silently told God that I wanted to see something to prove that He is real. It was very hard and difficult time of meditation.
But surprisingly the Lord gives me a vision. I was seeing some sign! I saw the Bible but it was empty inside. Just the cover of the Bible. I wanted to look carefully again. My body was sweating as I saw the same vision. The Lord showed me that though I was born and brought up in a Christian family I do not have the Word of God inside me – the Word that became flesh… JESUS! That very moment I cried and asked Jesus to come into my life and accepted him as my personal savior. And I promised that I will never go against God.
Thank you, Bangladesh Bible Correspondence School for giving me the opportunity to attend the Workshop.
[In the same week he went back home, he called us to inform that he got 3 scholarship opportunity to study in abroad. Praise the Lord! He is now in South Korea for his study]
